Ranking 2018’s Marvel And DC Films

By Matthew Nemeth

Another year of Superhero films from the MCU and DCEU. Aquaman will not be on this list as I didn’t see it. But this list contains Deadpool 2, Teen Titans Go!, Avengers Infinity War, Spider-Man Into The Spider-Verse, Black Panther, Ant-Man And The Wasp, Venom and Batman Ninja.

7. Venom

Venom just didn’t work, from the life foundation, to some strange CG choices in dark scenes to other annoying stuff, let’s be grateful that Tom Hardy was great.

6. Black Panther

Black Panther may have made a lot of money and been a decent full debut for the character, however, the film failed to avoid certain Superhero cliches and had very little fun in it. But it certainly wasn’t bad.

5. Deadpool 2/Teen Titans Go!

I simply couldn’t decide between the 2, they are both fun films and both from the other side one from DC and one from Marvel, both managed to have a decent plot, be funny, have references and I feel both where equity as good, the only major difference is one is R Rated and one is a family film

4. Ant-Man And The Wasp

Ant-Man And The Wasp managed to be fun, entertaining, introduced a new character in The Wasp and also tied excellently into the MCU

3. Batman Ninja

Batman Ninja was fun, different, entertaining, crazy but in a way that suits Batman and it also featured key Batman characters including a lot of the Bat-Family.

2. Spider-Man Into The Spider-Verse

Spider-Man Into The Spider-Verse managed to introduce you to a lot of different Spider-Man characters in a way that the DCEU should be taking note of, it’s an amazing Spider-Man film itself and was an excellent fresh film in that it also used Comic-Books in an effective way

1. Aquaman

Of course it isn’t, scroll down

1. Avengers Infinity War

You knew from the moment you saw the title of this article what number one would be. Avengers Infinity War is, in my eyes, the best Superhero film I’ve ever seen. The crossover and combination of tons of Marvel characters along with a carefully and emotionally crafted film was nothing short of stunning.
