Inside Review Xbox One

By Matthew Nemeth

Inside is a puzzle platformer adventure video game developed by Playdead. Inside is Playdead’s second title following their critically-praised 2010 Limbo. The game is thematically and visually similar to Limbo, where the player controls a young boy in an eerie, nearly monochromatic landscape, solving environmental puzzles while avoiding the death of the character. Inside was released for Xbox One on June 29, 2016, and will be released on Microsoft Windows on July 7, 2016.

This spiritual successor to Playdead’s Limbo is a masterful one called Inside, While playing Inside knowing it would be a short game (roughly 3-5 hours) i knew my experience would end before I wanted it to but at the same time I thoroughly enjoyed this game. But Inside is imply a masterpiece.

I could not get enough of the mystery, crazy events and shocking events. Seeing the young boy being chased and strangled or drowned to death was a shivering and disturbing experience, This game is beautifully bleak.

Without me spoiling too much of this I will just say that it is a must, play and at a roughly short 3 hours its a nice and tight experience, I am sorry for this short review but I really don’t want to give anything away.

Rating 10/10

Pros: Mysterious, Beautifully Bleak, Gorgeous, Technically Sound, Lots Of Surprises

Cons: None
