Ok, Let’s get the negative out of the way. 4 episodes in and i just don’t care for the Klingon, plus the fact that when i am trying to read their subtitles i get so distracted by their actual speech which just sounds like noise, But i ask another question, Am i supposed to find the Klingon this annoying? If so then it’s really just an annoying part of the show i guess ill have to just try and get past it but i almost just didn’t care for their scenes as i feel absolutely no connection to them at all, If in the next episode they where all killed and we just had a new villain come in i would just go with it (but the Klingon are a big part of Star Trek so that isn’t going to happen) . Moving on from that this episode when very strangely quickly from boring to exciting to boring back to exciting and i found it a little jarring and strange.
I enjoyed the intensity between Micheal and the beast type creature that was on board and actually enjoyed her trying to figure it out and scan it ect. this goes back to last week’s episode and why i liked it so much. I like being with the characters on the same journey and trying to explore and figure this stuff out, Being out of the loop and trying to figure things out for myself in the show too but it’s nice to have a mixture of both situations and the continuation of Micheal’s research helped with that.
I am trying to just figure out Star Trek at the moment but luckily i have Micheal as a character to cling onto as i am enjoying her scenes the most and her involvement with the show (which is also a pretty much all of it). I enjoyed this episode but had a little trouble getting into it but then again i am starting to recognise what i do and don’t like about the show and am sort of adjusting to it to try to suit that, I just hope with the amount of Klingon in the show i can find some way of trying to enjoy that more.
