The Flash: Who Could Flashpoint Bring Back

The Flash is an American television series developed by Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg and Geoff Johns, airing on The CW. It is based on the DC Comics character Barry Allen / Flash, a costumed superhero crime-fighter with the power to move at superhuman speeds. It is a spin-off from Arrow. The series follows Allen, portrayed by Grant Gustin, a crime scene investigator who gains super-human speed, which he uses to fight criminals, including others who have also gained superhuman abilities.

So at the end of The Flash’s second season Barry/Flash saved his mother creating Flashpoint. Flashpoint details an altered DC Universe in which only Barry Allen seems to be aware of significant differences between the regular timeline and the altered one, including Cyborg’s place as the world’s quintessential hero, Superman’s detention by the government, and a Thomas Wayne version of Batman who spends his days “running Wayne Casinos”.

So lets take a look at characters that have died and who could come back.

Laurel Lance/Black Canary

So Laurel was killed last season by Damien Dark. BUT Katie Cassidy has a contract as a season regular for all of the CW DC shows for their upcoming seasons, so its fair to say that at least some form of Laurel is coming back, but is it Black Siren as seen on season 2 of The Flash? We shall see.

Moira Queen

Yes Moira died some time ago at the hands (or sword) of Slade Wilson/Deathstroke but could Flashpoint bring her back ? Personally i think this boat has sailed and Moira can truly rest in peace. But could we see an Earth 2 or 3 version of her? Maybe. But doesn’t seem like they may be using Arrow characters in that way, So i don’t think we will see Moira again unless it’s a flashback.

Tommy Merlyn

Rumored to be returning. I personally wouldn’t mind Tommy coming back as it would do interesting things as far as the Laurel/Oliver/Tommy love triangle, especially since Laurel’s death and her return as a regular, Tommy would also have ALOT to catch up on depending on the timeline. So they could certainly do some interesting things here Slade

Slade Wilson/Deathstroke

Whenever i hear fans talking about this character they always mention that the character died. Now the last thing i remember was Oliver being with a couple of characters and locking him on the island, he trained on, this was back a few seasons ago. So could Slade return ? Absolutely. But i also feel his story could be done as that did go on for some time and i just don’t think much else can come from his character and i cannot see him being a hero on legends of tomorrow or something. This was also back when the flashbacks in the show were better and really connected strongly. That is about all of the characters that could come back (Oliver’s father is just long gone at this point).
